Newcastle United are preparing a €73m offer for RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Šeško (22), according to a report from Foot Mercato. Despite sealing the arrival of Anthony Elanga from Nottingham Forest, Newcastle were beaten to the signing of Hugo Ekitike by Liverpool—who are now reportedly also interested in Newcastle’s own forward, Alexander Isak. Manchester City, meanwhile, pipped them to the capture of England U21 goalkeeper James Trafford.Šeško, still only 21, has been biding his time this summer as several other high-profile striker moves have dominated the market, including Viktor Gyökeres, Victor Osimhen, and the aforementioned Ekitike.
