We are delighted to announce that Becky Spencer has signed a new contract with the Club that will run until June 2026.
Arriving from West Ham United in July, 2019, the experienced goalkeeper has played an integral role across our five seasons in the Barclays Women’s Super League as she closes in on a century of appearances in our colours.
With over a decade of experience in England’s top flight, Becky has been a consistent performer and produced a number of vital saves in key matches so far under Robert Vilahamn.
The 33-year-old featured on 21 occasions last term in all competitions – her most appearances in a single season since signing for the Club – including her penalty shootout heroics in the quarter-final of the FA Cup to secure a win over Manchester City, helping us progress to the FA Cup final.
On the international stage, Becky made her international debut for Jamaica in June, 2021, and featured at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, helping them to reach the knockout stages for the first time.
