New date for Villa home clash announced | OneFootball

City’s home Premier League match with Aston Villa has moved due to the involvement of both teams in the FA Cup semi-finals.

The clash with Unai Emery’s men will now take place on Tuesday 22 April with a 20:00 (UK) kick-off and it remain live on Sky Sports.

The game was originally due to be played on Monday 28 April at 20:00 (UK) but Matchweek 34 now sees City face Nottingham Forest and Villa take on Crystal Palace at Wembley in the last four of the world’s oldest cup competition.

Pep Guardiola’s men won the corresponding fixture against the Villans last season 4-1, including a Phil Foden hat-trick, a result that helped pave the way for a record-breaking fourth top-flight title in succession.
