Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaïfi is in a legal situation as Agence France Presse reported that he was placed under formal investigation on February 5 for complicity in vote buying, interference with voting freedom, and abuse of power related to SCA Lagardère.
Nonetheless, the PSG club chief has not been placed under judicial supervision. However, this legal decision quickly resonated in Doha, where the PSG president has been since Wednesday evening. The decision sparked a strong reaction within his circle.
Amid this latest legal situation facing Al-Khelaïfi, this could be the final straw that breaks the camel’s back and causes Qatar to pull out of French football as one person close to the situation told RMC Sport.

RMC Sport reported on Thursday that this decision to put Al-Khelaïfi under formal investigation has sparked a strong reaction within Qatar. Moreover, the report mentions that Qatari officials threaten to withdraw investments from France, including BeIN Sports and PSG.
“The Qataris are tired of all these abuses,” a source close to the government said. “Fake legal actions, blackmail, constant criticism, blaming them for every problem in France – every time they try to help, it’s seen as ‘soft power.’ It’s just plain abuse, and everyone is fed up.”
