Napoli are getting active in England and have identified Jhon Duran as a potential target for the future. He’s not a full-time starter but is having a strong season, as he has bagged 11 goals already.

According to Il Mattino, the Partenopei consider him an ideal addition to their frontline. He’d be able to play instead of Romelu Lukaku if need be or alongside their main marksman. He recently renewed his contract until 2030, which gives his side plenty of negotiating power.

Duran is valued around €40M, but Napoli might not be scared off by his price tag given his relatively low salary, age, and potential. They have routinely invested in youngsters and flipped them a few years later.

It’s not the first time the Colombian is linked to a Serie A side, as Milan pursued him in the past. He transferred to the MLS, more precisely to the Chicago Fire FC, after breaking out with Envigado in his home country. The Villans snapped him up for €16M in January 2023. He has scored twice in 15 appearances with Los Cafeteros.

The Azzurri would need another striker if they gave in to Torino’s courtship of Giovanni Simeone. The Granata are also keen on Cyril Ngonge, who could leave on loan considering the competition.

He’s a great talent and would be an apt no.2/spark-plug off the bench, but another center-forward, especially a young one that would need time and minutes to adapt to the league and grow, is very low on their list of priorities.
