Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis or other officials haven’t come out publicly to stop the chatter about the future of Antonio Conte, some of which was fueled by the gaffer directly. Behind the scenes, there’s not much worry that he will bolt prematurely in the summer, La Gazzetta dello Sport informs.

The Azzurri share the same ambitions and objectives. The hierarchy knows that the squad will need to be bolstered significantly to measure up to playing in multiple competitions. The goal will be to have 22 true starting-level contributors to allow the coach to manage the energies.

Napoli will have plenty to spend to satisfy the requests of Conte thanks to the Champions League prize money, the likely sale of Victor Osimhen, and what they got from Khvicha Kvaratskhelia in January. The ownership won’t nix big investments if prestigious targets could be in their sights.

The boss is under contract with two more campaigns. Therefore, the higher-ups haven’t felt the urge to speak up to dismiss the rumors.
