Football in England has seen some amazing goalscorers, and we can reveal what player has scored the most Premier League goals in one season, as well as what clubs have scored the most goals in a Premier League season.
In the past, footballers like Thierry Henry, Didier Drogba, Frank Lampard, Wayne Rooney and Sergio Aguero terrify defenders and score an abundance of goals in England's top flight.
Now, we still have amazing attackers like Mohamed Salah, Erling Haaland and Harry Kane who are currently breaking records and writing themselves into the history books day by day.

So, without further ado, let's have a look if any of these players have broken the Premier League goal-scoring record or if they were part of a club that scored the most in one Premier League season.
When looking to win the Golden Boot in the Premier League or become the top goalscorer in top-flight history, you need to typically get past 30 goals.
We haven't seen a player get past 30 goals since Salah got 32 in the 2017/18 season; however, it looks very likely that Haaland will surpass that in 2022/23. With the forward a lethal finisher, in a team surrounded by creative talents who have great vision, it looks like the perfect combination to break this record.
The record top-goalscorer in the Premier League is a tie between two players. Andy Cole managed to get 34 goals in the 1993/94 season for Manchester United, whilst Alan Shearer managed to also score 34 goals for Blackburn Rovers in the 1994/95 campaign.
At the time of writing this piece (February 2023), there is no doubt that Manchester City striker Haaland is on course to break the record, and this is because he is less than 10 goals from the record set in the 1990s.
With multiple months left of Premier League matches and the Norweigan free-scoring, there is no doubt that he will easily break this record. The only way he doesn't is if he, for some reason, isn't selected for Premier League matches or if he gets a big injury that sees him sidelined for months.
There have been many free-scoring football clubs in England's top flight over the years as we have seen great managers like Sir Alex Ferguson, Jose Mourinho, Arsene Wenger, Pep Guardiola and Jurgen Klopp dominate English football.
Manchester City are the club who have scored the most in one Premier League season and they blew all opposition away under Pep Guardiola (and still do). In the 2016/17 season, the most shots they attempted were gold and this helped them break the record and score 106 goals in one campaign. It is no shock that they won the league this season.
Surprisingly, despite scoring over a century of goals, Man City do not hold this record. Chelsea managed to score the most goals at home in a Premier League campaign. They managed 68 in the 2009/10 season and this was under Carlo Ancelotti.
Steven Gerrard of Liverpool celebrates after scoring the opening goal during the Barclays Premier League match between Liverpool and Everton at Anfield on January 28, 2014 in Liverpool, England
Scoring away goals in the Premier League is a lot tougher as you have 80% of the stadium against you, and in most stadiums in England, this can be quite an intimidating atmosphere to play against. Liverpool managed to score the most away goals in a Premier League campaign. They manage 48 in the 2013/14 season in which they narrowly lost out on the title to Manchester City.
No club will want to be known as the team who have scored the least goals in one campaign. Sadly, this 'award' goes to two clubs, one being Derby, who scored 20 goals in the 2007/08 season. The other is Sheffield United. They only managed 20 goals in the 2020/21 season.
