Monaco star’s Barcelona transfer comments resurface | OneFootball

A round of quotes attributed to AS Monaco star Maghnes Akliouche have begun doing the rounds in the Spanish media on Thursday.

This comes after the youngster revealed his hopes of one day pulling on the red and blue of La Liga heavyweights Barcelona.

Akliouche’s name will likely be a familiar one to regular viewers of Barcelona.

This comes after the 22-year-old opened the scoring en route to Monaco’s Champions League downing of Hansi Flick’s side back in September.

Long hailed as one of the standout talents in French football, Akliouche announced himself onto the world stage courtesy of a fine strike and all-round display.

Safe to say, then, that those of a Barcelona persuasion will no doubt be interested to hear that the midfielder previously made clear his intent of one day calling the Camp Nou home.

In quotes from an unclear point in the past, cited by Mundo Deportivo, Akliouche explained:

“As well as playing for Monaco, I would like to play for Barça.”
