Serie A side Milan picked up their first win of the season in the Champions League, beating Club Brugge 3-1 at the San Siro in a game that did get nervous at a point.

Brugge were down to ten men in the first half but despite that, they did make it 1-1 early in the second half after Christian Pulisic’s Olimpico goal had handed the Rossoneri a lead. Soon after, Milan took control and Tijjani Reijnders got a brace to seal all three points for the club.

It was the Dutchman’s first goal in Europe for Milan, despite him having impressed for a while. He spoke to Sky Italia about the game and revealed that he was dreaming about the moment.

He told, as relayed by TMW: “I was dreaming, I was waiting for these first goals in the Champions League. I was waiting for one and two arrived: even better.”

He also stated that Milan weren’t great in the first half but definitely improved in the second half, helping them seal all three points in a difficult game.

“In the first half we played too slowly, then in the second we woke up after the equaliser.”

The game is a vital win for Milan, considering that they take on Real Madrid next and not winning today could have put them in a difficult position.
