Despite just signing Santiago Gimenez, AC Milan are pondering a move for Lorenzo Lucca in the summer to really bolster the attack. As revealed by the player himself, Zlatan Ibrahimovic is his idol and they spoke after Milan-Udinese.
With nine goals and an impressive size, over two metres tall, Lucca has been linked with quite a few of the big clubs in Italy. Milan are one of them and reports have suggested a move could be made in the summer, as his potential arrival would also help with the squad list.
Speaking to Relevo and Matteo Moretto, Lucca was asked about Milan’s interest and Ibrahimovic’s presence at the club. While he didn’t give anything away with regards to the interest, he admitted that he spoke to the Swede after Milan-Udinese in October.
“Zlatan Ibrahimovic is my idol and after Milan-Udinese, we also talked about a few things at the end of the match… above all we talked about my past at Ajax, because I was the first Italian to play for that historic club, a club where Zlatan made history,” he stated.
As added by Moretto in the article, Milan and Napoli are the two teams with the most concrete interest in the player. Udinese have slapped a €25-30m price tag on their star and it remains to be seen what the Rossoneri think about this, especially after spending over €30m (including bonuses) on Gimenez.
