Milan have intensified talks with Massimiliano Allegri as one of their primary targets for the bench, Vincenzo Italiano, will extend his contract with Bologna.
Several sources in Italy claim Milan have intensified talks with Allegri, their former coach from 2010 to 2014.
Gazzetta dello Sport, Sky Sport Italia and Calciomercato.com claim Allegri has become the leading Rossoneri target after Italiano’s imminent contract extension with Bologna.

New Milan director Igli Tare didn’t hide his admiration for Allegri in a recent interview, saying that the former Juventus boss was the best Italian coach alongside Antonio Conte.
Ironically, Allegri’s future is also tied to Conte’s. Allegri, in fact, has already held talks with Napoli as a potential replacement for their title-winning coach, and Calciomercato.com confirms that Max has received a contract offer from the Partenopei worth €6m per season until 2027.

Milan are now hoping to beat Napoli to hiring Allegri, but the Rossoneri are running out of time as the Italian tactician wants to decide on his next club by the end of the week.
It remains to be seen if his deadline will be moved slightly forward, as Tuttosport suggests Inter will also be interested in the Livorno-born coach if Simone Inzaghi leaves after Saturday’s Champions League Final.
