The 2024/25 campaign was a disaster from Milan on all fronts, and the January transfer market will also be remembered as a failure.

Today (Saturday), the Rossoneri confirmed that 3 of the 5 players who arrived in January will not be continuing under Massimiliano Allegri next season: João Félix who was on loan from Chelsea, Kyle Walker who was on loan from Manchester City and Riccardo Sottil who was on loan from Fiorentina.

Milan had an option to make the stay of all three permanent, but have chosen not to do so. The club thanked the three players on social media with a short post, thus confirming that they will not be at Milanello for pre-season and will instead return to their home clubs.

Sottil was never really considered a viable option for Milan and made just 8 appearances; Walker started off well but then lost his place at the starting XI and he leaves after 18 games in Red and Black, while João Félix made 21 appearances, scoring 3 goals and assisting 1.

Milan are in the process of building their squad for the next campaign and more exists and signings are expected.
