Evann Guessand is on the verge of experiencing the Premier League, a competition he has been eyeing for several months. The OGC Nice striker is set to join Aston Villa after a full agreement was reached between the two clubs.

Under contract with Nice until 2028, Guessand is coming off a standout 2024-2025 campaign, notching 13 goals and 10 assists in 42 appearances across all competitions. His attacking versatility, ability to play across the front line, and significant room for development caught the attention of several clubs. Among the suitors were Villarreal in Spain and Neom SC in Saudi Arabia.

But it was Aston Villa who managed to convince both the player and the Nice management. The transfer fee is estimated at €35 million, including bonuses, according to information from Fabrizio Romano.

Evann Guessand is a true product of the Nice academy. Having joined the club at a very young age in 2014, he quickly rose through the ranks before breaking into the first team in 2020. After loan spells at Lausanne Sport in Switzerland and Nantes, he finally established himself—especially in the 2024-2025 season, when he truly showcased his potential. In total, he has played 87 matches, scoring 20 goals and providing 14 assists in Nice colors.
