It's now official: Algerian international Ismaël Bennacer will not be making a grand return to AC Milan for the upcoming season.

Still under contract with the Lombardy club until 2027, the Fennec spent the second half of last season on loan at Olympique de Marseille.

According to Sky Sports, the Arles native is being forced to find a new club as he does not feature in the plans of new manager Massimiliano Allegri.

A tough blow for the former Arsenal academy graduate, who has also been overlooked by Olympique de Marseille during this summer transfer window.

At the club since 2019, the Algerian international has made 178 appearances for the Rossoneri, scoring 8 goals and providing 12 assists.
