Real Madrid star Toni Kroos has confirmed that he was this week afforded an invite to line out as part of the club’s next ‘legends’ XI.

Midfielder Kroos, of course, dropped nothing short of a bombshell on all associated with Real Madrid this past Tuesday.

As much came in the form of confirmation that the German international has decided against extending his expiring terms in Spain’s capital this summer.

Instead, Kroos will line out for his country at the upcoming European Championships, before lowering the curtain on a historic career.

Speaking as part of his personal podcast, Einfach mal Luppen, on Friday, the 34-year-old, in turn, provided an insight into a whole host of factors surrounding his retirement.

And one in particular has since piqued attentions across the Real Madrid fanbase.

This comes with Kroos having confirmed that he was stopped by Blancos legend and Castilla manager Raúl outside Valdebebas on Thursday.

And the Spaniard went on to lay out plans for Kroos’ participation in the next edition of the Real legends game:

“Yesterday, when I left training, Raúl was outside. He told me at first he did not like the decision. But he said he found something positive, because now I’m definitely playing this legends game with him. He said I had to be there. Me and Zizou playing behind him, Figo on the right, Roberto at the back. That could be funny. Let’s see if I get an invitation.”
