Juventus are in talks with Weston McKennie to extend his contract, but the latest reports suggest that negotiations are currently facing a delay, as there are still some details to resolve before an agreement can be reached.

Despite starting the season as an outcast at the Allianz Stadium, the USA international eventually convinced former coach Thiago Motta to include him in his plans. McKennie proved his worth by scoring five goals in all competitions and providing three league assists.

New manager Igor Tudor also kept McKennie on the pitch for the full 90 minutes in his first two games in charge, indicating that he sees the 26-year-old as an important player for his future in Turin, a view that seems to be shared by the club.

Juventus face delay in McKennie contract negotiations

According to transfer expert Matteo Moretto, Juventus are negotiating a new deal with the midfielder, but the two parties have yet to reach an agreement.

While both sides appear willing to continue talks and finalise a deal, there are still some obstacles to overcome.

With McKennie’s contract set to expire in June 2026, it is likely that Juventus will either look to renew his deal by the summer or consider selling him in the upcoming transfer window to avoid losing him on a free transfer at the end of next season.
