Weston McKennie insists Juventus ‘definitely want to win the group’ in the FIFA Club World Cup, although they expect Manchester City to seek revenge for the Champions League.
It kicks off at the Camping World Stadium in Orlando at 20.00 UK time (19.00 GMT, 15.00 local time).
You can watch all the games from the 2025 Club World Cup with DAZN, which is offering a free service this summer.
“We definitely want to win the group, it’s two big clubs playing against each other,” McKennie told DAZN.
“I know we are not taking it lightly, we played each other in the Champions League, so I’m sure they want some getback as well.
“I definitely expect a good game today and a hard-fought one as well.”

McKennie scored in that Champions League fixture back in December 2024, where Juventus emerged victorious at the Allianz Juventus Stadium in Turin.
How are the Bianconeri feeling about this meeting seven months on from that 2-0 win?
“We’re confident. Like I said, these are two big clubs, we are both very competitive and want to win. Hopefully we’ll get the same result as before.”
Both teams have already booked their spot in the knockout rounds after winning their two games played so far against Wydad AC and Al-Ain.
This makes tonight’s encounter a head-to-head for top spot, which will therefore decide the draw going forward in the competition’s last 16 phase.
If it ends in a draw, then Juventus will win the group, having scored one more goal so far compared to Manchester City.
