If Max Eberl’s comments are to be believed, then don’t expect any incomings at Bayern Munich in January. The club’s sporting director revealed plans for the January transfer window ahead of their Bundesliga clash against RB Leipzig on Friday night.

Speaking in Thursday’s press conference, Eberl said: “The priority is on internal transfers, which means contract extensions. When everyone is fit, we will have even more options. We are extremely happy with the squad.”

New deals for Bayern Munich duo

Manuel Neuer is entering the final six months of his contract but Eberl confirmed on Thursday that Bayern’s goalkeeper is set to extend his contract at the club with just the final details left to be clarified.

Eberl has his team are also working on the contract extension of Jamal Musiala, whose current deal runs until 2026. A new contract will likely tie the 21-year-old down until 2030, which would also see the player become the club’s highest-paid player in history, surpassing Robert Lewandowski and Harry Kane.

Also entering the final six months of their contract is Thomas Müller, Joshua Kimmich, Eric Dier, Leroy Sané and Alphonso Davies.
