Congo defender Arthur Masuaku, 31, has expressed his delight at returning to the English Premier League after signing a two-year contract with Sunderland.Out of contract following his spell at Turkish club Beşiktaş, Masuaku joined Sunderland on a free transfer.

In an interview with Sunderland's official website, the player nicknamed "The Fauves" said: " I'm happy to be here and back in the Premier League. Sunderland is a big club. I had three good years in Turkey and now a new challenge awaits me. I want to bring a winning mentality and joy to the supporters."He added:"I will give my best to perform on the pitch. Our squad is young, and at 31, I will do my utmost to bring my experience, support my teammates, and stay positive no matter what."Masuaku also shared his ambitions:"I've already won several trophies in my career and I have a winner's mentality that I want to bring to the club. I want to bring joy to our fans, who deserve it after a tough period.
