Arsenal are preparing to lock horns with Girona in the UEFA Champions League this week in an away fixture. The former side somehow managed to register a victory over Wolves in their previous game to keep the hopes for the Premier League title alive.
Defence
David Raya has kept five clean sheets in the Champions League and he will be aiming for the sixth one between the sticks this week. Jurrien Timber should continue to operate as the right-back in the lineup.
The centre-back duo of Gabriel Magalhaes and William Saliba is likely to remain intact. However, Riccardo Calafiori’s goal against Wolves could place them in a favourable position ahead of Myles Lewis-Skelly for the left-back role.

Midfield
Thomas Partey continues to remain the deep-lying midfielder with Declan Rice providing his services from the left side. The Gunners will also welcome Martin Odegaard, who missed the previous game due to an illness. He should come at the cost of Ethan Nwaneri in the middle of the park.
Attack
Gabriel Martinelli remains the automatic pick for the right flank in the absence of Bukayo Saka. While Leandro Trossard is operating on the other side of the pitch, Kai Havertz is being used as the number nine in the lineup.
Gabriel Jesus (knee), Bukayo Saka (hamstring), Ben White (knee), and Takehiro Tomiyasu (knee) are the confirmed absentees while Mikel Merino (knock) could return from his injury.
