Marseille remain in contact with Bayern Munich defender Sacha Boey | OneFootball

According to a report from RMC Sport Olympique de Marseille remain in contact with Bayern Munich defender Sacha Boey (24) in case a move for Juventus’s Timothy Weah (25) fails to transpire. Les Phocéens have managed to agree a five-year contract with Weah, but talks are still on-going with Juventus to secure a deal. Should Juventus and OM fail to agree a fee for Weah, the club are keeping an alternative option warm in Sacha Boey. The Provence club remain in open contact with Boey, who left Galatasaray to join Bayern Munich in January but could be available this summer after limited game-time and a mixed second half of the season in Germany. The former Rennes and Dijon defender who was born in the prolific Seine-Saint-Denis region moved to Turkey in 2021 and made 63 appearances for the Instanbul side, before moving to Munich last winter. This comes as Marseille’s pursuit of Feyenoord winger Igor Paixão (25) has seemingly grinded to a standstill, as the Dutch club have not responded favourably to OM’s latest offer – believed to be in the region of €28m.
