It appears the German tactician is a huge admirer of Rashford and wants to sign the Englishman this month as a potential backup for Robert Lewandowski.

A recent report from Diario SPORT has offered a fresh update on the future of Rashford, suggesting that the forward could be set for crunch talks with Man United this midweek.

In fact, the Premier League giants have issued an ultimatum to Rashford, urging the Englishman to make a final decision on his future.

There is a supposed meeting on Wednesday meeting between these two parties, which could be pivotal in determining the future of the forward.

United, for their part, should have no shortage of suitors for Rashford, who has come under the radar of several top clubs across Europe.

In addition to Barcelona, the likes of AC Milan and Borussia Dortmund, too, have been linked with a move for the Englishman.

As things stand, Rashford appears to be prioritising a move to Barcelona, though it will be interesting to see if the forward will be drawn to the sporting prospects at other clubs such as Dortmund and Milan.

This is relevant considering the fact that Barça are only willing to sign the forward as an alternative to Lewandowski.

Flick might even consider him only a backup for two front-choice wingers Lamine Yamal and Raphinha. Therefore, it will be interesting to see how things transpire in the coming days.
