Manchester City make offer for 2007-born Tottenham starlet amid Manchester United and Borussia Dortmund transfer battle | OneFootball

Manchester City have submitted an offer to sign Tottenham teenager Mikey Moore but face Premier League and Bundesliga competition for the youngster’s signature.

Etihad bosses are expected to bolster Pep Guardiola’s first-team squad ahead of the 2024/25 campaign this summer, although the City Football Academy could also welcome new recruits ahead of the new season next month.

Manchester City have recently completed deals for 14-year-old US prodigy Cavan Sullivan, and have also signed River Plate and Argentina midfielder Claudio Echeverri, who is expected to move to the Etihad Stadium in January 2025.

The City Football Academy have also reportedly launched an offer to sign 2007-born Tottenham forward Mikey Moore, with the 16-year-old having been directly involved in 32 goals in 33 appearances during the recent campaign.

Moore scored 19 goals and registered 13 assists, including 29 direct goal involvements in 22 Premier League Under-18 appearances for Tottenham last season.

The teenage winger also featured in the UEFA Youth League, Premier League 2 and FA Youth Cup, alongside making his first-team Spurs debut against Manchester City in the 0-2 Premier League defeat in May.

Moore is currently unable to sign a professional contract due to FA regulations, however ahead of the teen’s 17th birthday, Manchester City have reportedly made an offer to bring the youngster to the Etihad Stadium, according to Football Insider.

Manchester City are one of three clubs to have made an offer to the 16-year-old, with local rivals Manchester United and Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund also claimed to have taken steps to try and sign the young forward.

Tottenham are also battling to keep hold of the Englishman, who has featured for the Three Lions at an Under-15s, Under-16s and Under-17s level.

Manchester City are also set to appoint a new manager to the Under-18s this summer, with Oliver Reiss expected to depart Hertha BSC after 17 years to take charge of the Blues’ academy outfit from next season.
