Manchester City interested in Lazio’s Nicolo Rovella | OneFootball

Serie A side Lazio could soon be fending off the threat of Manchester City from their prized midfielder Nicolo Rovella.

The Italian has impressed for the Biancocelesti this season while playing in the deep midfield role and that is the position City are trying to strengthen in.

Il Messaggero, as relayed by TMW, have reported that City have set their sights on Rovella and are also looking to make an offer of about €40 million.

The feeling is that City’s scouts have been following Rovella’s progress closely from the stands since his loan stint at Monza two seasons ago and he has now evolved into a much better technician. The player has the intention of staying at the Roman club throughout his life and for now, he doesn’t want to depart.

That can change if City offer a huge fee and Lazio could then ask the player to consider an exit. His sale could help Lazio make a sizeable capital gain as well.
