Pete O’Rourke has reported for Football Insider that Manchester City has an interest in signing Roony Bardghji. Furthermore, O’Rourke reports that Bardghji’s current contract expires in December. The FC Copenhagen winger could be available on a free transfer, and that move is considered a ‘no-brainer’ for Manchester City, as per O’Rourke’s report.

Roony Bardghji has long been considered one of the most exciting young talents in European football. His performances for FC Copenhagenhave caught the eye since he burst onto the scene. With his eye for goal and dribbling ability, he does look to be a potential star in the making. Unfortunately for Bardghji, he has missed the 24/25 season after suffering an ACL injury. The dribbling ability of Bardghji has seen him dubbed the ‘Swedish Messi’. It’s clear watching Bardghji play that he is a prodigious talent although there are obvious flaws in his game. As good as his goal-scoring and dribbling is, his passing and delivery does need some work. Bardghji is more of a goal scorer than a player who can pick out a pass. He also has work to do on the defensive side of his game but that should come in time.
