RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko caught the eye of Paris Saint-Germain last summer as the club sought a dependable goal scorer to replace Kylian Mbappe. With Randal Kolo Muani likely leaving this summer, PSG could finally secure a No. 9 who earns Luis Enrique’s trust.

The Slovenian forward, whose contract with Leipzig runs through 2029 and is valued between €70 million and €75 million, had an impressive 2023-24 season, scoring 18 goals and adding two assists in 42 appearances.

Although PSG’s sporting advisor, Luis Campos, considered several striker options, he ultimately chose not to sign a new No. 9. Sesko has kept up his strong form into the 2024-25 season, scoring 17 goals and registering six assists in 36 matches across all competitions.

The latest update could bring good news for PSG and any club interested in the player.

Will Benjamin Sesko be on the market this summer?

Manchester United has received further optimism about a summer move for Sesko, as a reliable source revealed that it’s now “very realistic” that he will leave RB Leipzig this summer.

In his latest column for The Daily Briefing, Christian Falk noted that Sesko will likely leave this summer with United joining Arsenal and Newcastle in tracking the Slovenian goal-scorer.

“Arsenal is heavily linked with Benjamin Sesko. Also, from our view, at Leipzig, they know it’s very realistic that he’s going to leave the club in the summer,” Falk wrote. “They would talk with €70 million (£58.9 million) on the table.”
