Manchester United have guaranteed some kind of European football after comfortably dispatching PSV in Stockholm.
Marc Skinner gave Julia Zigiotti Olme her debut in her native Sweden alongside compatriot Anna Sandberg but it was the two Norwegians, Elisabeth Terland and Celin Bizet Dønnum who gave United the lead.
The Red Devils pressed high early on and were rewarded in the seventh minute when another Norwegian, Lisa Naalsund, won the ball high up the pitch with Terland finishing well.
Zigiotti was close to finding the net on her debut when Terland's low pass found the midfielder whose effort bounced back off the post.
It was 2-0 with just over a half hour gone when Ella Toone had a shot saved by Moon Pondes only for Bizet Dønnum to convert the rebound.
United's dominance continued in the second half with Terland making it 3-0 in the 53rd minute after a perfectly-weighted pass from Toone.
It was a similar scenario when Terland completed her hat-trick 11 minutes later. Again Toone was the provider with the striker providing a superb finish to make it 4-0.
Goalkeeper Phallon Tullis-Joyce had a mostly quiet time in the United goal but she was forced into a strong save when Chimera Ripa showed her strength against Dominique Janssen before a rare PSV attempt.
In the end, it was a comfortable game for Manchester United who will now face the winner of Hammarby and Metalist 1925 Kharkiv – a game that would see the WSL reach the Champions League if they win or the Europa League if they lose.
