Manchester United could resort to Fiorentina striker Moise Kean who is a more affordable option than some of their main targets.

The Red Devils have already bolstered their ranks with Matheus Cunha, and are making significant progress in their attempts to land Bryan Mbeumo. However, the centre-forward role has been a real conundrum for the club.

INEOS have already missed out on Liam Delap who declared for Chelsea, while the likes of Viktor Gyokeres, Victor Osimhen, Benjamin Sesko and Hugo Ekitike might be out of their range due to their hefty price tags (in the region of £65-80 million).

According to TuttoMercatoWeb, Man Utd could soon turn their attention to Kean who would only cost £44.5 million thanks to a release clause inserted in his Fiorentina contract.

The Italy international had his highs and lows in his previous career experiences at Juventus, Everton and Paris Saint-Germain, but has finally come into his own in his maiden campaign in Florence, scoring 24 goals and providing four assists across all competitions.

The 25-year-old is blessed with exceptional physical strength and a blistering pace, while his finishing touch has vastly improved this term. Therefore, legendary Italian striker Christian Vieri described him as a ‘phenomenal’ centre-forward in his interview with The Italian Football Podcast (via CaughtOffside).

Man Utd have company in the race for Kean

However, the source warns Man United of competition from Milan and Al Qadsiah who are reportedly willing to offer him a salary of €15 million per year to lure him to Saudi Arabia.
