With just four days remaining in the transfer window, significant moves are beginning to take shape. Barcelona are in direct negotiations with Manchester United regarding the loan of Marcus Rashford, aiming to have everything in place by Monday.
The 27-year-old forward is the Blaugrana’s main target for the winter and the player, too, is keen on making the transfer happen. And it appears that things are heating up in the final days of the transfer window.
As per The Telegraph (h/t SPORT), talks are intensifying between Barcelona and Manchester United over a deal involving Rashford.
But the Premier League club have requested assurances from the Blaugrana that they will be able to register the player with La Liga without any issues in order to continue progressing with the deal.
Manchester United remain uncertain about Barcelona’s ability to complete the registration, following complications with Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor, despite the Catalans returning to the 1:1 financial rule.
All parties are hoping to finalise Rashford’s departure during this winter market, which is why they are engaging with Barcelona.

However, should Barça fail to provide the necessary guarantees, Man United could explore other negotiations with clubs interested in the forward as they are keen to avoid any last-minute complications.
Rashford is reported to have communicated to Manchester United his desire to join Barcelona, at least until June.
Barcelona, who have maintained ongoing contact with his representatives, have set a maximum amount they are willing to contribute towards covering part of his substantial salary.
They are unwilling to bear the full cost, as it would be too high and could cause issues within the dressing room.
The key development in this scenario is Rashford’s stance. Initially, Rashford was willing to make financial sacrifices, but following recent criticism from the manager, he is now unwilling to compromise.
As a result, Manchester United will need to cover nearly half of his salary for the remainder of the season if they wish to facilitate his departure.
Barcelona are doing everything it can in these final days of the transfer window, and it remains to be seen whether they will have enough financial room to accommodate him.
