Manchester United fans have given their thoughts on what should be done with Jadon Sancho and Antony should they fail to secure a move before the window closes.
In a bizarre event, Real Betis struck a deal with United for Antony a few days ago, only to pull out of the deal over compensation issues.
Nonetheless, it has broken this morning that Real Betis have fully agreed a €25 million deal with United for Antony with no compensation being paid to the Brazilian.
Jadon Sancho’s exit looks to be a lot more complicated as he has rejected numerous teams including AS Roma.
Nonetheless, it has been reported that whilst United are negotiating with Villa over Emiliano Martinez, the club have also shown interest in signing Sancho.
The Peoples Person asked the question, “if Sancho and Antony refuse to be sold this summer, what should United do with them?”
36% of supporters claimed that the club should “let them rot” in the stands.
Ruben Amorim has made it clear that he doesn’t want players who have no future at the club to be around the first team squad and they are currently training away from the senior squad.
Interestingly, 25% of respondents would welcome the unwanted players back into the first team squad.
Antony would probably be easier to integrate as he has not fallen out with the manager and has been a model professional for the club.
Nonetheless, whilst Sancho has not had any specific issues with Amorim, his relationship with the club and fans is at an all-time low.
Therefore, the Englishman being reintegrated back into the squad would come as a massive shock.
20% of fans would send the players on loan and this looks the most realistic scenario for Sancho.
United would love a permanent deal but it seems highly likely that the Englishman is trying to run down his contract to secure his pick of clubs in free agency in the future.
Whilst it is not ideal for United, he would be far away from the club.
19% of supporters would force the players to play in the under-21s.
Nonetheless, United have numerous incredible young stars in the academy and the club would most likely not want these players getting in their way or polluting the atmosphere within the dressing room.
