Man City fans take aim at Real Madrid star during UCL clash | OneFootball

Sections of the home crowd in attendance at Real Madrid’s meeting with Manchester City this evening have made use of the opportunity to take aim at a member of Los Blancos’ frontline.

The player in question? Vinícius Jr.

The headline fixture of the Champions League playoff round is of course currently playing out at The Etihad.

The name of wide-man Vinícius dominated the headlines in the buildup to the clash, as chatter resurfaced surrounding the Brazilian’s Ballon d’Or snub back in October.

With Man City midfielder Rodri having been the man to beat Vinícius to the prize, the Sky Blues faithful organised a large banner for the stands at The Etihad, to poke fun at the 24-year-old.

And, as alluded to above, as much has since been followed by Vinícius being targeted with chants inside the ground, too.

Over the opening exchanges in Manchester on Tuesday, collective shouts of ‘Where’s your Ballon d’Or?’ were heard booming across the stands.
