Alan Shearer has suggested Chelsea would have been higher in the Premier League had Romeo Lavia been fit all season.
The Blues recorded a crucial 3-1 win against Liverpool on Sunday which kept them in the fifth and final Champions League spot.
The Blues moved level on points with Newcastle in fourth and just a point behind Manchester City in third, with just three games remaining.
Chelsea have been boosted by the return of Lavia, who has once again been struck by injury issues this campaign.

The Blues are no doubt a better team with Lavia, who Maresca has described as one of the best midfielders, but they’ve not been able to count on him enough this season.
Shearer was impressed by the Belgian’s performance against the newly crowned Champions and suggested the Blues would be higher in the table had Lavia been fit.
“He controlled the midfield superbly against Liverpool and showed his class on the ball,” he told the Premier League’s official website.
“It makes you wonder where Chelsea would be if the Belgian had been available all season.”
Midfield is arguably Chelsea’s strongest area of the squad, with the Blues having Lavia, Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo.
The midfield is set to get stronger with Andrey Santos set to return to play a key role in the squad having excelled on loan at Strasbourg this season.
