According to a report from Fabrizio Romano, Olympique Lyonnais are set to send Mahamadou Diawara (19) to Le Havre AC on loan until the end of the season.
The two clubs had reached an agreement for a straight loan without any option to make the move permanent, unlike the offer that Lyon had received from Stade de Reims. However, Lyon had also accepted an offer from the Swiss side Servette FC.
Diawara had informed Lyon of his wish to leave this month due to his limited game time this season, with the midfielder only making four brief appearances off the bench (and having not seen any playing time since the 3rd of October).
Diawara reportedly wanted to take his time to assess his options so that he could make the right decision for his career, and this has led the midfielder to choose Le Havre, where he will hope to have plenty of minutes as the club look to avoid relegation to Ligue 2.
