Lyon & Dortmund in talks to sign Brighton’s Facundo Buonanotte | OneFootball

According to a report from Fabrizio Romano, Olympique Lyonnais are in talks with Premier League side Brighton & Hove Albion to sign attacking midfielder Facundo Buonanotte (20). Les Gones are reportedly in talks alongside Borussia Dortmund for the Argentine who spent last season on loan at fellow Premier League club Leicester City. The Seagulls signed Buonanotte from Boca Juniors back in 2023 under current Marseille boss Roberto De Zerbi – featuring in 40 games for Brighton in both the Premier League and UEFA Europa League during the 2023-2024 season as Albion reached the round of 16. Romano reports that Dortmund have entered the race ‘strongly’ to sign the Brighton player, with Lyon also in ‘active talks’. Last season the Argentine playmaker made 31 appearances in the Premier League for Leicester, scoring five goals but ultimately not avoiding the drop as the Foxes returned to the Championship at the first attempt.
