Luis Enrique: "We have to stay on the same path" | OneFootball

The Paris Saint-Germain coach spoke to the media ahead of Saturday's Coupe de France final.

THE OPPONENTS

'For the moment, the most important final is the one against Stade de Reims. We haven't won any of our games against them this season. We drew twice, and if we take the last six matches, we have just one win and five draws.

'Playing a final is different to a Ligue 1 game. It's a 90-minute match with potentially extra-time. I like positional play and I know there will be that in tomorrow's game. As for our playing style, the players tell us about the difficulties they may have, then we try to improve it.'

THe Stade de France

'I don't have a very good memory, but it seems to me that the first game I played here was with Spain and we lost 1-0 through a Zinédine Zidane goal. But what is great in life is that at no time did I think I would be coming back here. For this Coupe de France final, we are calm, we have to stay on the same path. From our first day, our aim has to be present at this stage of the competition and to be in the hunt to win every trophy.'

PHYSICAL ASPECT

'Physically, we're at the same level as last season. We have improved our efficiency and clinical edge. You often hear talk of turnover, but the results are positive and that means we've got this far with those results. Everyone is ready for tomorrow, except Presnel Kimpembe, who is close to a return. Training sessions include a significant physical load. We expect intensity from both teams, and that's what we've prepared for.'

Willian Pacho

'He has been able to settle in perfectly and adapt from the very first day. He's very important for the team. He's one of the players I've used most this season. He wins a lot of duels, he doesn't get booked...We have placed a lot of hope in him, because he's a young player. It's often tough for a player who comes into a new club to maintain their level, but he has done so. I'm very happy for him.'
