“Look at their players”- Rival manager says Chelsea are “one of the favourites to win the title” | OneFootball

One rival manager has claimed that Chelsea are one of the favourites to win the Premier League title this season, despite it being played down.

Enzo Maresca and also some of the players continue to play down Chelsea’s chances of winning the title this season. Nicolas Jackson even claims that he does not look at the table and smiled when he was asked about Chelsea now being just two points behind Liverpool after beating Brentford 2-1 last night.

Jackson got on the scoresheet as well, and you know full well that he, and everyone else at Chelsea right now, knows exactly where they are in the league table. But I think they are right to try and play this down for now and keep some pressure off.

But others are refusing to do that. It was Brentford manager Thomas Frank who was calling Chelsea one of the favourites to win the title last night after he saw his side lose to The Blues.

I think when you look at the table currently, then it is factual that Chelsea are challenging for the title, because they are in second place. The reality though, is a little different I feel.

Frank said after the game:

“We went toe to toe with the number two in the Premier League, one of the favourites to win the title.

“I know they don’t want to talk about that but look at their players, look at the money they’ve spent, look at the way they play, they are well-coached, all they deserve is only praise.”

Chelsea still have some issues I believe at the back, but if they continue to get the results, then the title talk can not be ignored!
