Manuel Locatelli says ‘the energy has changed’ at Juventus under Igor Tudor, while Kenan Yildiz warns ‘it is a must’ they qualify for the Champions League.

The Bianconeri continued their positive streak with new coach Tudor, seeing off Genoa and Lecce, with the 1-1 draw away to Roma.

Dusan Vlahovic failed to find the net, but he did provide the assists for both Teun Koopmeiners and Kenan Yildiz in the first half, as Juve put together some well-worked team moves.

They seemed to fall away towards the end, hanging on under pressure after Federico Baschirotto nodded in from a free kick for the 2-1 final result.

“We are happy for the win, it was hard late on when they pressed us, but we’re pleased,” Kenan Yildiz told Sky Sport Italia.

“It is important to go into the Champions League, it is a must, so we have to continue our work and give our best, as always.”

This victory sends Juventus temporarily into third place, but because tomorrow there is Atalanta vs. Bologna, it means inevitably the Old Lady will be fourth at the end of this weekend.

“The energy has changed, we approach games with a lot of positive energy and that is what we need to keep doing. We had the chances to kill the game off earlier and conceded an avoidable goal, but we’re on the right track,” Locatelli told Sky Sport Italia.

“I saw it as more of a physical issue than anything else, as towards the end we lost sharpness and made avoidable mistakes. However, we brought home three fundamental points for us.”

For the first time in quite a while, Juventus break back into the top four and have their sights set on a Champions League spot.

“That is our objective, we must do everything to achieve it and win every game we have remaining.”
