Liverpool play in arguably the best league in the world and had quality matches in the UEFA Champions League this 2024-25 season, such as Real Madrid. Nonetheless, manager Arne Slot threw shade against all these clubs with his latest claim.

The Reds were in a tightly contested Premier League title race with Arsenal and have faced other formidable opponents. Still, Slot and his team have a 15-point gap between themselves and the Gunners.

Over the weekend, Liverpool overcame a first-half deficit to secure a 3-1 comeback win over Southampton as they continue to march toward a league title.

Arne Slot praises PSG while taking a slight dig at other clubs

On Monday, Slot spoke to the media ahead of the final 90 minutes at Anfield against Paris Saint-Germain at Anfield, and the Dutchman took an indirect shot at Arsenal and Real Madrid with his remarks praising PSG.

“PSG is the most complete team we’ve faced this season,” Slot said (h/t PSG Report). “Of course, we have played Arsenal, Real Madrid, Man City but the quality PSG have is amazing.

“They have so much quality with a great coach, he lets them play in a way that is not easy to play against, with an incredible work rate. They are such a complete team.”

It will be interesting to see if Liverpool can add to their 1-0 aggregate lead or whether PSG have a comeback in them and take advantage of their scoring chances.
