Liverpool Women sign Rangers midfielder Maclean | OneFootball

Liverpool Women have made their first signing of the summer window with the acquisition of Kirsty Maclean.

The 20-year-old joins from Rangers where she came through the academy before making her debut in her side's 2021/22 title-winning season.

Maclean's performances earned her a call up to the Scottish national team with the midfielder featuring 10 times for her country so far.

"I'm really looking forward to it. I'm really excited to get going in pre-season and to meet all the girls, and hopefully we can start the season well," Maclean said about joining Liverpool.

"I think the club speaks for itself. It's obviously a massive club with a lot of history and to be able to represent the badge is a really proud moment for me."

While Maclean's arrival is the first Liverpool signing of the summer they have already lost Taylor Hinds to Arsenal with forward Olivia Smith also rumoured to be joining the Gunners in a world-record fee.
