Liverpool are tracking the player’s progress, as the Reds consider long-term replacements for Andy Robertson at left-back.

Arne Slot is planning ahead for the summer window, having overseen minimal change at Anfield to date. Federico Chiesa was the sole senior signing last summer, while Georgian goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili will link up with the Reds from Valencia ahead of next season.

Kerkez has now emerged as a leading target to strengthen at full-back. A teammate of Liverpool midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai at international level, he has already won 21 caps for Hungary. Kerkez has impressed with his energy and forward threat from full-back, earning admiring glances from the Premier League leaders.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Kerkez is expected to leave Bournemouth at the end of the campaign.

The defender signed with a new agent, Fali Ramadani, earlier this year in anticipation for a high-profile move.

Manchester United were previously linked, though the Red Devils agreed a deal to sign Patrick Dorgu from Lecce in January.
