Liverpool have no plans to sell Darwin Nunez this summer, with Barcelona unable to raise the necessary funds to sign the Uruguayan forward regardless.
Nunez has endured a difficult few months following an incredibly positive start to his second season at Anfield, leading to speculation regarding his future.
Recent reports have suggested that Barcelona are interested in signing the 24-year-old in the upcoming transfer window, with Nunez's decision to remove all his Liverpool-related Instagram posts after the 4-2 victory over Tottenham only fuelling rumours.

Plenty of pundits have weighed in on the situation but it appears that Liverpool have absolutely zero interest in letting their lucrative signing leave the club.
According to journalist Ben Jacobs, Liverpool still have faith that Nunez will make good on his potential and they have offered no indication that they are open to a summer sale.
"There is a real appreciation for Darwin Nunez, and there's a feeling within Liverpool that a lot of the criticism towards him is very unfair," Jacobs told GIVEMESPORT
"There is also a belief that we're not dealing with a finished product in Nunez either, so getting rid of him now would be counterproductive and go against the belief within Liverpool that he can develop into something even more special.
"Liverpool are not thinking about selling Darwin Nunez. They're thinking about him being one of the foundations at the front end of the field that helps with this transition from Jurgen Klopp to Arne Slot, so I would expect the noise to quell as the window goes on.
"When Liverpool are back for pre-season and preparing for the new campaign, I think people will start to realise that Nunez remains an important part of the club's future."
Barcelona are considered the main suitors for Nunez ahead of the summer window, but their perilous financial situation could scupper any chance of a deal according to Spanish publication Sport (via Sport Witness).
The report actually refers to Luis Diaz, who has also been linked with the La Liga giants, but the two Liverpool players would likely command similar fees.
Diaz is '100% unaffordable' for Barca this summer as they can't currently finance a deal for any players, with the same likely to be the case for Nunez.
