Sevilla’s Loïc Badé has been making a name for himself, especially after his standout performance for France at the Summer Olympics.

His rising profile didn’t go unnoticed, with French national team coach Didier Deschamps selecting him for the squad during the October international break.

As Badé continues to impress, it’s no surprise that top clubs are taking notice. According to a report from SPORT last fall, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Liverpool, and Paris Saint-Germain have all shown interest in the talented defender.

Spanish outlet Diario AS has also reported that Liverpool is eyeing Badé as a potential successor to the aging Virgil van Dijk. Scouts from Liverpool were seen watching Badé during the Barcelona-Sevilla match at Montjuïc last October.

SPORT reports that Liverpool and Newcastle are interested in signing Badé, who is available between €25 million and €30 million.

In November, Football Insider reported, citing sources, that the Magpies are working on a deal to sign Badé in the January transfer window. The report suggests the Sevilla standout could be available for £30 million to £40 million, significantly cheaper than a potential deal for Marc Guehi.

Sevilla, on the other hand, is facing financial difficulties and may be inclined to accept substantial offers for Badé to help raise funds.
