Liverpool are now favourites to win the Premier League title. Here’s how Man City boss Pep Guardiola reacted.
There have been a fair few crazy days in the Premier League this season and Saturday was another. Manchester City have now lost five (5) fixtures in a row in all competitions.
Their latest was their worst. Tottenham Hotspur battered them at the Etihad, winning 4-0 in an incredible display.
And while City are still second in the Premier League, they've lost their chance to cut the gap down from five points. Now Liverpool can stretch it to eight points - a sensational lead for November.
As a result, the bookies have made Liverpool firm favourites to win the Premier League.
City have been the favourites for a while now - they have won four in a row, after all. But the Reds are on top and can consolidate their lead on Sunday.
Here's how Pep Guardiola reacted.
Guardiola was asked after the defeat to Tottenham whether the deficit at the top is too much to claw back. The Spaniard didn't exactly sound confident.
“Yeah, because this Liverpool is winning, winning, winning," he said, per the Guardian.
But was this defeat actually terminal for their title chances? Again, Guardiola isn't in a very positive place.
“I don’t know," he explained. "But it’s not thinking about whether you’re going to win or lose [the championship].
"We are not ready to think about what is going to happen at the end of the season."
