In a recent report, Defensa Central stated that Liverpool are eyeing a massive move for Real Madrid winger Vinicius Jr. It has been revealed that the Reds are prepared to pay €100m plus €30m in add-ons for the Brazilian wide player this summer.
Vinicius Jr. had a productive campaign at the Madrid club after he produced a lot of impressive displays for them on the offensive end of the field. The Brazilian talent made 58 appearances for Los Blancos last season, scoring 22 goals and securing 19 assists in the process across all fronts.
The 25-year-old did well to average 3.12 shots per 90 minutes in La Liga. However, he only kept 30.8% of his attempts on target. Vinicius Jr. was even tidy when distributing possession in the final third, as evidenced by his pass completion rate of 74.7% in the Spanish top tier (stats via fbref.com).
His current contract at the Madrid club will expire in the summer of 2027. Thus, Liverpool have to make a massive offer if they are to stand a chance of signing him this off-season.

Vinicius Jr. has got the pace to cause a lot of headaches for his marker out in the wide areas. He has got the eye to play some decisive passes in the final third and can shoot the ball with venom from long range.
The Brazilian sensation is a consistent goal-getter in front of the opposition goal. He is primarily a left-sided wide player but can also fill in as a centre-forward if asked to do so.
However, only time will tell whether Vinicius Jr. can cope with the physical side and high intensity of the Premier League if Liverpool manage to acquire his services this summer. We can expect him to add plenty of firepower to Arne Slot’s frontline.
At 25, Vinicius Jr. has his peak years ahead of him and could help the Reds challenge for a lot of major trophies in the coming seasons. Therefore, he would be a dream signing for the Merseyside club to pursue in this summer transfer window.
