Lille hijack Watford’s deal to sign Udinese forward | OneFootball

Lille OSC are on the verge of completing a move to sign Udinese forward Vivaldo Semedo (20), according to a report from L’Équipe. He had been set to join EFL Championship side Watford before LOSC’s last-minute intervention.

Lille have already confirmed the arrival of Olivier Giroud on a free transfer. The club, who will compete in the UEFA Europa League next season, are also in talks to sign Rangers’ Hamza Igamane. In the meantime, they are on the verge of completing the signing of a young Portuguese forward from Italy, Semedo.

Les Dogues are on the verge of completing an agreement with Udinese worth around €3m. Last season, he scored nine goals and registered four assists during a loan spell with Portuguese second division side Vizela.

L’Équipe understands that, prior to Lille’s late approach, Semedo had been on the verge of joining Watford. He still needs to undergo a medical before signing a five-year deal with the Ligue 1 side.
