Lyon vs Reims - Sunday, 14:00

Lyon's attacking quality makes them a good bet to win - and potentially win big - at home to Reims this weekend.

Few clubs in Ligue 1 can match Lyon for the depth and strength of their final-third options: Rayan Cherki, Ernest Nuamah, Malick Fofana, recent signing Thiago Almada, Alexandre Lacazette and Georges Mikautadze will all be champing at the bit to get on the field this weekend.

Lyon have not always realised their potential this season but stand a good chance of doing so this weekend. Visitors Reims are without a win in their last nine Ligue 1 matches (W0-D5-L4), and have particular problems in defence.

The sale of star centre-back Emmanuel Agbadou to Premier League Wolves last month has left a gaping hole at the heart of their back four. This weekend, another important centre-back, Kenya international Joseph Okumu, is suspended.

Strasbourg vs Montpellier - Sunday, 16:00

Relegation-threatened Montpellier sold some of their best players during the January transfer window and that is why we expect them to lose this weekend.

Needing to raise funds, the struggling Languedoc-Roussillon-based outfit could not afford to turn down the offers they received for some of their more marketable assets. Centre-forward Akor Adams joined Sevilla for £4.5 million, while wingers Moussa Al Tamari and Arnaud Nordin moved to Rennes and Bundesliga club Mainz respectively for a total of £7.5 million.

The coffers are fuller, but the team is poorer, as was evident in their 2-0 home defeat to Lens last weekend.

Strasbourg look well-placed to take advantage. Liam Rosenior's side may have lost 3-1 at home to Angers in the French Cup Last 16 in midweek, but that will merely make them even more determined to win this weekend. Ligue 1 now represents their only route of getting into Europe, so the Alsatians will be fired-up and focused.

The return from suspension of star striker Emmanuel Emegha may prove crucial, too: the Netherlands U21 marksman has scored five goals in five starts for Strasbourg in 2025. He is available at 7/5 in the Anytime Goalscorer market on the Sportsbook.

Angers vs Marseille - Sunday. 19:45

Marseille are one of Ligue 1's best away teams and the odds on Roberto De Zerbi's visitors collecting all three points at Angers this weekend look far too big.

L'OM are W8-D0-L2 on the road this season, and most of the more convincing Ligue 1 performances have been away from home. Quick and often deadly on the break, they love the greater spaces they frequently find when playing away from Stade Velodrome.

The mood in the away dressing-room will be upbeat after their 3-2 home win over rivals Lyon last weekend. And they will be fresher than Angers, too: Marseille were already eliminated from the French Cup, so had no midweek domestic knockout competition fixture.

Angers may have won 3-1 at Strasbourg in the French Cup on Wednesday night but that game will have depleted their energy levels: manager Alexandre Dujeux named a stronger side than expected for that game. And Angers have struggled at home against better teams this season: their home record against sides currently in the top six is W0-D0-L3, including heavy defeats to Nice (1-4) and PSG (2-4).
