While Ajax already made it clear last week that Englishman Jordan Henderson would be leaving, now it is known where the 35-year-old midfielder’s future lies.
Several British media outlets are reporting that he will continue his career at Brentford. The 84-cap England international is reportedly signing a two-year contract with last season’s 10th placed side.
At Brentford, Henderson will play alongside Dutchman Antoni Milambo, who joined the English club from Feyenoord for 20 million euros. Henderson joined Ajax at the end of 2023, having signed him from Al-Ettifaq in Saudi Arabia.
Henderson previously played for Sunderland (his hometown), Coventry City, and became synonymous with Liverpool, the club with which he won the Champions League in 2019. Henderson is apparently eager to take England to the 2026 World Cup. He was recently recalled after a long absence.
