Despite keeping a clean sheet, the number 13 looked shaky throughout the match. Given his recent form, Barcelona’s recent signing Wojciech Szczęsny might be a more reliable option as the starter to cover Ter Stegen’s absence.

Héctor Fort: 6

Not heavily tested defensively, and also having minimal involvement in the key moments of the attack.

Iñigo Martínez: 9

Another dominant display from the Spaniard veteran. Solid at the back and showing great football IQ in his contributions to the team’s offensive build-up.

Frenkie de Jong: 5

Having recently returned from injury, the Dutch player is still working to regain his form. He came on for the final 10 minutes of the match, but it’s clear that he needs more opportunities to get back to his best level.

Gerard Martín: 5

Came on to give Iñigo Martínez some rest in the final 10 minutes of the match. He had minimal involvement as Alavés, already down 0-3, posed little threat in the closing stages.
