Leicester and West Brom among Championship clubs keen on winger – exclusive | OneFootball

A number of Championship clubs have expressed an interest in St Pauli winger Dapo Afolayan.

The 27-year-old former West Ham youngster has been with the Bundesliga side since 2023, playing 32 times in all competitions last season and scoring three goals.

Leicester City, West Bromwich Albion, Blackburn Rovers and Swansea City are among the clubs who have expressed an interested in the winger.

But they also face competition from Belgium clubs, with both Gent and Genk believed to be keen on him.

Afolayan also had a two-year spell at Bolton in League One before moving to St Pauli, scoring 14 goals for the club across all competitions in the 2021/22 campaign.

And he could be set for a return to English football, with St Pauli considering whether to allow him to leave the club this summer should a suitable offer come in.

Another player who could leave St Pauli for English football this summer, meanwhile, is full-back Fin Stevens.

Championship clubs, including Hull City and Preston North End, are among those to have been interested in the full-back this summer.
