Leganés star ‘will join Valencia’ over the coming weeks | OneFootball

Valencia are on the verge of tying up a deal for a member of the midfield ranks at La Liga rivals Leganés.

That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who point towards Ivan Neyou as the player in question.

Valencia, it is understood, have long kicked into gear a search for reinforcements in the middle of the park with a view to the 2025/26 campaign.

This comes with Enzo Barrenechea’s loan from Aston Villa set to come to an end, and Los Che not in a financial position to make a move for the Argentine’s signature.

Alternative profiles are therefore being sought, with one such option having now seemingly made his way to the top of the wishlist at Mestalla.

As per a report from MD, citing Diario MARCA:

‘If things don’t take a complete turn, Ivan Neyou will be a Valencia player in the coming weeks. The Leganés locker room is already taking it for granted, and those closest to him are making it clear privately.’

All that remains is for Valencia to mathematically secure their top-flight status for next season, at which point Peter Lim will give the go-ahead to the transfer.
